Gabriela Fernandez
Fernandez has a Ph.D. in Urban Planning, Design, and Policy from the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at the Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy. Gabriela is interested in urban metabolism ideologies and has undertaken studies on the material flow analysis of the Metropolitan City of Milan and Lombardy region (northern Italy), thus identifying urban typologies and socioeconomic indicators in the Italian urban context while promoting urban metabolism public policy on under representative population such as elderly, people with disabilities, children, homeless and refugees, LGBTI+, women, students, and academics. Fernandez is an Adjunct Faculty and Researcher at San Diego State University, Center for Human Dynamics in the Mobile Age, Department of Geography in San Diego, California.
