Awarded Best Scientific Paper during the World Resource Forum 2017

Metabolism of Cities was invited to participate in the World Resource Forum (WRF) on October 24-25, 2017 at the Centre International de Conferences (CICG) in Geneva, Switzerland. The WRF 2017 addressed the topic of “Accelerating the Resource Revolution”, highlighting the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement as calls for action.
One of Metabolism of Cities’ latest projects, the creation of a global urban metabolism database and comparing 10 energy metabolisms in global cities, was showcased and presented by one of the team members, Joao Meirelles. Metabolism of Cities’ “Global Urban Metabolism Dataset” was awarded the best scientific paper during the World Resource Forum.
